The Case Management Institute is the first professional learning experience purpose-built for the Canadian context, designed specifically for those working in higher education student case management.
Grounded in established successful practices and evidence-based principles of case management and informed by social work theories, adult learning theories, and Canadian post-secondary practices, this four-part institute blends hands-on strategies with established field-specific knowledge to strengthen your confidence, competence, and coordination in supporting students through complex situations in alignment with institutional goals.
Whether you’re new to case management in a post-secondary setting, or looking to expand and deepen your practice, this institute offers a space to learn, reflect, and connect with peers who understand and navigate the realities of student care and conduct work on Canadian campuses.

Need Funding Support?
Need Funding Support?
To help ensure the Institute is accessible to emerging professionals across the post-secondary sector, Hof & Associates has created the Speaker-Supported Bursary Fund.
We offer our guest speakers an honoraria or the opportunity to contribute to the fund. For each guest who chooses to forgo their honoraria, we contribute $100 for every guest speaker who participates in our institute. As these contributions accumulate, they are used to fully fund one registration spot for an individual who may otherwise face financial barriers to attending.
A bursary is offered once the fund reaches the equivalent of one full Institute registration. Eligible applicants include professionals working in under-resourced institutions, individuals with limited access to professional development funding, and those new to the field seeking foundational training.

FAQs
Who should attend?
This Institute is tailored for incoming professionals moving into case management roles, as well as those entering higher education environments who bring prior case management background from alternative sectors. Beyond case managers, typical attendees include professionals working within student conduct, academic advising, and housing services who are eager to expand their knowledge. By the end of the program, attendees will gain actionable, evidence-based methods that can be immediately applied within their respective campus roles.
What happens if I can’t attend a portion of the day?
We understand that participants need to jump in and out sometimes for meetings - no problem. The facilitators stay after class each day to catch you up on what you missed, you’ll also have access to the slide deck for 90 days following the institute.
Do I get a certificate or confirmation of completion?
Yes, if you’ve attended the full institute we can send you either. Just ask us at the end of the course.
Is there a way to host the institute on campus for my team?
Absolutely. Email lara@hofandassociates.com and we can chat about how we’ve hosted the fully customized in-person version for other schools to determine what’s best for your institution. And we can even host regional drive-ins if you’ll provide us with the space.
